Specialist Day Hospital Admission
For patients undergoing IVF or ICSI cycles, all egg collections and embryo transfers are undertaken in one of our Specialist Day Hospitals under a local or general anaesthetic.
There is no Medicare rebate available for Specialist Day Hospital procedures, although some rebates do exist for anaesthetic services. Therefore, the amount for which you are covered for these admissions is dependent on your level of private health insurance cover.
If you don't have health insurance from a private health fund, you can expect to pay around $2755 for Specialist Day Hospital care (payable on the day of admission) and an anaesthetist (billed separately). Our Specialist Day Hospital team will contact you in advance of your procedure to inform you of the fees involved.
