IVFAustralia provides a comprehensive and supportive donor program to assist anyone needing donor sperm, eggs or embryos; or a surrogate to help them have a baby.
We have a dedicated donor team, that provides guidance and support to you throughout the process.
- Using donor sperm
At IVFAustralia you can use sperm donated by someone you know, or select one of our de-identified donors that we have recruited locally and from overseas.
All donors undergo significant medical and genetic screening tests.
The treatment options available with donor sperm include intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in-vitro-fertilisation (IVF) with intra-cystoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

- Becoming a sperm donor
Making a sperm donation is one of the most generous things a man can do. We are always looking for sperm donors to be part of our program and help create a family.
If you are a healthy man aged 21-45 and are interested in becoming a sperm donor, our experienced team would be happy to talk you through the process in more detail.

- Using donor eggs
IVFAustralia provides egg donation services for women who are unable to conceive using their own eggs, where the donor and the recipient are known to each other.
Ideally donors should be aged 23 – 33 with no medical or genetic conditions; they will be screened to determine their suitability.
The egg donor is required to undertake an IVF cycle to have eggs collected. Embryos can then be created with the partners (or donor) sperm, before being transferred back into the woman’s uterus.

- Embryo donation
People who have completed their family and have additional embryos in storage have the option of donating their frozen embryos to someone having trouble conceiving.
Our online community ‘Embryo Donors’ can facilitate connections between potential recipients and donors in a secure, private environment.
If you are offered the incredible gift of an embryo, the embryo will be thawed and transferred into the recipients uterus on the right day of the natural cycle or hormone treatments may be used.

Proudly growing LGBTQ+ families
IVFAustralia has 16 clinics across NSW & the ACT that have been proudly growing LGBTQ+ families for more than a decade.
In response to enquiries from our patients, IVFAustralia has developed an information exchange system called Donor SibLinks. This system provides patients who have used our donor programs the potential opportunity to access more details about the number of families and children that have been conceived using the same donor.
