Dr Ujvala Rao

Dr Ujvala Rao is an Australian trained specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology as well as general practice. Ujvala’s passion is to provide exceptional care to all couples seeking fertility treatment and is uniquely placed to do so by virtue of her extensive postgraduate training. Ujvala obtained her medical degree from the University of New South Wales and completed most of her obstetrics and gynaecology training at Westmead and Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospitals in Sydney, Australia.

She then undertook subspecialty training in fertility, first as a Clinical Fellow in fertility at the Homerton University Hospital, London UK and then as the Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) Fellow at RPA hospital in Sydney. Having completed her training in obstetrics and gynaecology, Ujvala pursued general practice training in order to broaden her skills in caring for whole families.

Alongside her clinical work, Ujvala has a keen interest in academics and research, having completed a Master of Medicine at the University of Sydney, and authoring several publications and book chapters. With her breadth of clinical & academic experience, Ujvala helps couples realise their goals of having a family, maintaining excellent communication and an empathic approach along the way. She also offers care to people throughout their lives, before and after their fertility journeys.

Ujvala speaks English, Kannada and a little French.
