Dr Malcolm Godfrey

Malcolm studied medicine at the University of Sydney and initially worked on the Central Coast NSW where he grew up. He then undertook speciality training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

He currently works in private practice at Newcastle Private Hospital and as a consultant at John Hunter Hospital where he is involved in training junior doctors and medical students. 

Known for his thorough and calm approach to patients, Malcolm enjoys all aspects of fertility and prioritises taking the time to understand all the issues that may be impacting a patient's fertility. He finds it very rewarding seeing patients through to the birth of their baby as a private obstetrician.

Between running a busy practice and spending time with family, Malcolm enjoys running and tries to squeeze it into his routine. The most challenging and rewarding race he has completed is a 100km trail race in the Blue Mountains called UTA 100.
