As an experienced, accredited education provider for General Practitioners, IVFAustralia’s Fertility Specialists regularly present one hour CPD accredited workshops in the area of women’s health and infertility.

How many CPD points will I get?

For every 1 hour workshop you attend you will receive 2 CPD points.

Where are the workshops held?

Workshops can be held in house, or at a local venue. 

What are the workshop topics?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

Covers the diagnosis and management of PCOS in general practice as well as the implications for women with PCOS who wish to conceive.

Investigating menstrual problems

Covers the principal investigations to undertake in diagnosing common menstrual disorders as well as the most effective assessment and management of each.

Male infertility

Learn about the factors affecting sperm function and male fertility as well as standard investigations and interpreting semen analysis results in general practice. Recognising the pros and cons of vasectomy and reversals versus fertility treatment options.

IVF treatmentA step by step overview of a typical IVF cycle.
Managing miscarriage and early pregnancy bleeding

Discusses identifying current management of miscarriage in general practice, patient care for early pregnancy bleeding, and the investigation and treatment of recurrent miscarriage in general practice.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

The evidence and recommended management strategies for women entering the menopause are examined. The last two decades have seen the publication of significant studies on the safety of HRT in relation to cancer risk, these will be put into perspective.

Is she fit to be a mother?Discusses risk factors including diabetes, obesity, thyroid disease and infectious diseases that lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes. This presentation also discusses diabetes management in general practice and identifying thyroid disease.

Preconception health, weight management and infertility
