Fertility Preservation

Warning message

Member access is temporarily disabled. Please revisit us on the 23rd December.

IVFAustralia offers a fertility preservation service to protect and preserve your fertility for the future.

You might consider fertility preservation if

  • you have a serious illness such as cancer that will potentially risk damage to your eggs or sperm from chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other treatments, including surgery
  • because your age is advancing, but you are not ready or able to have a baby right now

Options for women

Fertility preservation options for women include freezing eggs, freezing embryos, freezing ovarian tissue, and medications which may protect the ovaries from toxic chemotherapy drugs.

Getting started

If you are thinking about fertility preservation, please arrange an appointment with one of our fertility specialists who can assess your situation and determine the most effective option for your individual circumstances.

If your fertility preservation referral is for oncology purposes, please mention this when you contact us 1800 111 483 so we can fast track an appointment for you to ensure you are seen quickly by a fertility specialist – usually within 24 hours.

Fertility Preservation

Fertility preservation can help to protect the future fertility of young men and women diagnosed with cancer.
