We are the proud partners of a new documentary due to be released on Stan in October 2020, the Misunderstandings of Miscarriage.

At Virtus Health, consisting of IVFAustraliaMelbourne IVFQueensland FertilityGroupTasIVF and Virtus Fertility Centre, we want to drive meaningful conversation about miscarriage, and help remove the stigma that surrounds it.

Because sadly, miscarriage happens in around 1 in 4 pregnancies.

As an industry leader, we want to help unlock a movement of being more open about miscarriage, to stop women feeling so alone following a miscarriage. We decided to support the film because of the strong alignment with the work that our nurses, counsellors and fertility doctors do every day, in supporting women and their families during their fertility health and pregnancy journeys. We want people to be fully supported and to feel safe opening up about their experience - both at home and at work.

About the film:

The film follows Australian actress and filmmaker, Tahyna MacManus on her four-year journey of pregnancy and miscarriage. The film sheds light on the physical, emotional and psychological impact of miscarriage, as well as the lived experiences of a number of women in their search of support and understanding.
