Why choose IVFAustralia?
Sometimes it takes a village to start a family. Meet Your Fertility Family.
As a member of Virtus Health, IVFAustralia has more experienced fertility specialists, offering many treatment options, in more locations, to create more babies than any other fertility group.
Choosing a fertility clinic and specialist is a big decision and it’s important to go with the one that’s the best fit for you. Choose a specialist that you’re comfortable with; who you feel listens to you and is going to maximise your chance of taking home a baby.
At IVFAustralia we have a team of over 38 leading fertility specialists to choose from across Sydney, Wollongong, Central Coast, Newcastle and Canberra. Our team includes some of the country’s IVF pioneers that helped conceive and deliver the first IVF baby in NSW and a number of practising Medical Professors.
Not only do you get your choice of dedicated fertility specialist but our patients benefit from having access to the combined knowledge and expertise of the whole team for a collective opinion, so you can be assured we are exploring every possible option to help you conceive.
Access to advanced reproductive technology
IVFAustralia is at the forefront of scientific research and as such you’ll have access to a wide range of advanced reproductive technology. We invest significantly in research and development with a particular focus on identification of the healthiest egg, sperm and embryo to maximise your chance of conceiving.
Some of the advanced scientific techniques we use include:
- Digital high magnification to overcome extreme male factor infertility
- Oosight technology (Polscope) to assess the structure of the egg before fertilisation
- Embryoscope to record the development of embryos and identify those more likely to result in a pregnancy
- Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis to test embryos for specific genetic or chromosomal abnormalities
- Advanced Embryo Selection to screen all 24 chromosomes in a developing embryo and selectively implant only the ones that are chromosomally healthy
- Assisted hatching which uses a laser to thin the outer shell of the egg and make implantation easier
- Natural Killer Cell Testing for patients who have experienced repeated miscarriage or repeat IVF failure
Supportive and compassionate care
We understand that undergoing fertility treatment is a very emotional and stressful time and it’s important that you are cared for in an environment that is supportive and compassionate.
Your fertility specialist and dedicated nursing team will be there to look after you, provide advice and support you every step of the way. For those times when you need an extra shoulder to lean on, our counsellors are always available.

More convenient clinic locations and appointments
IVFAustralia’s integrated network of care offers a widespread choice of clinic locations which means you can have consultations, monitoring and egg collections at the clinic most convenient for you and you can access any of our clinics during your treatment.
This gives you the flexibility to have your consultations at a clinic close to home and monitoring close to work or vice versa – it’s up to you.
Our clinics are open from 7am, 6 days a week for monitoring and because we operate our own specialist day hospitals your egg collections can take place at the best possible time for you, including the weekend.
We also offer Saturday appointments with fertility specialists for new patients.
Excellent success rates
IVFAustralia is part of the leading group of fertility clinics in Australia responsible for the creation of over half of this country’s IVF conceived population.
The biggest factor affecting the chance of pregnancy success is the age of the women. Visit our success rates page for a full breakdown of IVF success rates by age group.
Accessible fees and no upfront payment
At IVFAustralia we are committed to keeping our costs accessible. We provide you with very clear information about the costs related to fertility treatment and offer a ‘no upfront payment’ option.

In-house laboratories
IVF Australia has multiple embryology and andrology facilities, as well as an in-house pathology department. This ensures we have greater control over the laboratory environments and reduces the risk associated with transporting fragile eggs and sperm. It is also more convenient for patients by removing the need to travel between facilities and allowing us to provide test results faster.
Our laboratories are built beyond required Australian standards to meet the European clean air standard, which uses sophisticated environmental control technology to create the perfect conditions for handling sperm, eggs and embryos.
