You've Got Millions, We Only Need One

IVFAustralia has launched an advertising campaign to encourage more men to donate sperm to help couples and single women to realise their dream of becoming parents.

Using the tag lines ‘You’ve got millions to spare, we only need one’ and ‘A donation to us won’t save a life; hopefully it will create one’, the online advertisements will appear on popular sports and travel websites and for the first time social media sites such as Facebook from Monday 14 March 2011.

Every chromosome in a developing IVF embryo can now be tested

Australian scientists are in the final stages of validating the new method of comprehensive screening of IVF eggs and embryos for the full range of chromosomal disorders, a service that will be available within weeks at Melbourne IVF, with IVFAustralia and Queensland Fertility Group to follow.

As the age of first conception increases, more women are seeking reassurance about their reproductive potential. Until recently FSH measurement was the principal biochemical marker available but was only of limited value. Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH), produced by the ovaries now appears to be a more sensitive predictor of ovarian reserve.

New online FertilityFORUM for IVFAustralia Patients

IVFAustralia has launched an online Fertility Forum for patients to communicate with other patients about their IVF journey.

IVFAustralia is the first Australian IVF Clinic to introduce an online FertilityFORUM for its patients to help them share their knowledge, insights and experiences with others.

The Forum comes in response to patient research which identified that patients want to communicate with other patients while retaining their anonymity.
