Looking after your health and managing the stresses of infertility during the COVID-19 epidemic

The effects of the Covid-19 epidemic are bad enough for the population as whole.  However, when all this happens at a time when you are struggling to have your family and now find that fertility treatment is on hold, you are left worrying if you will ever be able to conceive.  This is all a deeply stressful time.

What steps can you take to preserve your physical and mental health?

  • Maintain social distancing.  Stay at home. Follow the government advice about quarantining. It is there for your own health as well as others.
  • Wash your hands as often as you can.  Wash for at least 20 seconds.
  • Exercise regularly and eat wisely. Do not let the stresses and isolation of all of this affect your health.
  • Look after your own emotional and mental health.
