PolScope

Overview

PolScope is a technique developed by IVFAustralia which uses polarised light to clearly see where the genetic material is stored in the egg.

The use of PolScope may help the ICSI process by allowing the scientist performing the procedure to see where the genetic material is located and to avoid injecting through the spindle. We are currently performing a trial to assess the role of this technique in predicting embryo development.
