Some couples may need to consider embryo donation due to egg and sperm problems. IVFAustralia provides treatment using frozen embryos that have been donated by a couple to enable another couple to conceive.

Embryo donors can either choose to make their embryos available to any couple at the discretion of IVFAustralia or they can go through a process of couple matching for embryo donation. 

Couple matching involves both couples approving the other as a donor/recipient of the embryos. Couples will be matched by exchanging non-identifying information about themselves. Any contact between the couple will be by mutual consent only.

Couples wishing to become recipients of embryo donation will be required to go on a waiting list.
