IVFAustralia’s dedicated fertility nursing team are all registered nurses with midwifery training and/or extensive women’s health backgrounds.
Our nursing team is here for you each step of the way. They will perform some of your procedures, including monitoring blood tests and ultrasound scans (all IVFAustralia nurses are trained in follicular tracking). They will also carry out simple fertility treatments such as Intra-Uterine Insemination procedures.
Nurses working with IVFAustralia find fertility nursing very fulfilling. They will guide you through the entire treatment cycle – from the initial fertility specialist appointment, through the monitoring phase, and culminating in the pregnancy test.
The nursing team begin at 7am to help fit treatment around your daily routines and working lives.

Jane Early
IVFAustralia, Director of Nursing
Jane Early has an extensive background in gynaecology and infertility nursing. Prior to working at IVFAustralia Jane practised fertility nursing at a large teaching hospital in the UK and was involved with the training of fertility nurses at Leeds University.
Since moving to Australia seven years ago she has been Unit Nurse Manager at IVFAustralia Southern Sydney and Northshore clinics, and more recently as IVFAustralia’s Director of Nursing. Jane brings to her role as Director of Nursing the experience and knowledge gained through these previous roles.
In her current role, Jane works closely with IVFAustralia’s Medical Director, Associate Professor Peter Illingworth, to consolidate protocols across all of the clinics and integrate nursing procedures into clinical practice. Jane is currently studying for a Master in Health Service Management.
