Social Support Groups

Structured social support groups offer an opportunity to explore coping strategies, and the emotions and thoughts that can arise for people who have difficulties conceiving. The local counsellor facilitates group meetings and will maintain an up-to-date contact list of group members as people begin and complete treatment. However, social networks usually develop outside of the formal meetings. Many people who are part of a support group enjoy keeping in touch and/or getting together in between meetings for social events or one-to-one contact. Support groups are held at IVFAustralia clinics across Sydney and the Central Coast. You are welcome to attend the support group most convenient for you, regardless of which clinic you normally attend for treatment. 

Life Life - Workshop Series

IVFAustralia offers professionally facilitated workshops for patients who are currently undergoing treatment with us.  These workshops are free for IVFAustralia patients and are held in IVFAustralia clinics across Sydney. 

Local Contact List

Patients also have the opportunity to join a Local Contact List. This is a list of names and contact details of IVFAustralia patients currently going through treatment who wish to talk or share information with others in the same situation. If you are happy to be contacted by others on the list in your local area, please email us. Your local counsellor will contact you to ask what details you wish to share with others on the list.
